Accounting integrated into your legal and tax strategy

Accounting Under Chilean GAAP and IFRS

Most of a company's legal decisions — incorporation, restructuring, profit repatriation, tax compliance — have a direct accounting counterpart. We handle our clients' accounting with the same team that advises them legally, so information never gets lost between separate providers.

We provide accounting under Chile's Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and, when the operation requires it, financial statements prepared under IFRS for consolidation with foreign parent companies or investors.

For companies with partners or a parent company outside Chile, reporting is delivered in Spanish or English as each recipient requires, coordinated with the rest of the firm's legal and tax advisory.

How we work

Monthly accounting (Chilean GAAP)

Monthly accounting under Chile's Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, with books and records up to date for any inspection or audit.

IFRS financial statements

Preparation of financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for consolidation with a foreign parent company or reporting to investors.

Tax filings and payroll

Monthly and annual tax compliance with the SII (Form 29 and Form 22) and management of payroll, social security contributions, and pay slips.

Reporting in Spanish or English

Periodic financial reports delivered in Spanish or English as each recipient requires, coordinated with the rest of the legal advisory so the parent company gets one consistent read on the Chile operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between accounting under Chilean GAAP and IFRS, and why might my company need both?+

Accounting under Chilean GAAP is the basis for local tax compliance with the SII. IFRS isn't mandatory today for Chilean companies generally, but banks, foreign parent companies, and investors are increasingly asking for it as a condition for approving credit or consolidating results, and that demand is expected to keep growing. That's why we offer both: we keep your accounting under Chilean GAAP as required, and prepare your financial statements under IFRS in parallel if your bank, parent company, or investors require it.

Why keep accounting with the same firm that provides legal advice?+

Because most of a company's legal decisions have a direct accounting counterpart, and coordinating that across separate providers creates delays and information-handoff errors. A single team handling legal, tax, and accounting matters speeds up decision-making, especially for foreign parent companies that receive one consistent, consolidated report.

How often do I need to file taxes in Chile?+

VAT and monthly provisional payments (PPM) are filed monthly through Form 29, and income tax is filed annually through Form 22. On top of that, there are payroll and social-security obligations if the company has employees in Chile. We coordinate the entire tax and payroll calendar so no deadline is missed.
